A Few Words
From JC and Laurie
JC and I are the on site park managers
here at Woodside Village. We were both raised in the area. JC is
from Sacramento and I am from Auburn. We have 4 children and 6 grandchildren
that we love to spend time with. We both enjoy fishing, camping
and off-roading in our jeep and photography. We are blessed to live
in our beautiful gold country foothills. Woodside Village is centrally
located, 1 hour from Lake Tahoe and 2 hours from San Francisco.
What more can you ask for!
As managers we try to keep an open door policy.
If our residents have a problem of some kind, whether with us, neighbor,
something wrong in heir mobile, or just needs someone to talk to,
we like to think we are here to listen and point them in the right
direction. This is not a 8 to 5 job. We are here all day, everyday,
I am the office Manager and along with my assistants
Chris and Arline. We make sure our residents are kept informed of
anything they may need to know, and make sure all the billing goes
out and is collected on time. Arline is not only my assistant in
the office: she is the editor of our monthly newsletter.
JC and his full time maintenance man , Mike maintain
the park. With 235 homes, about 38 acres, along with the open spaces,
BBQ area, shuffle board court, children’s park, swimming pool
and club house, they seldom (never) run out of projects to care
for. There is never a job to small or to big for Mike to tackle.
If a resident has a problem of some kind, we ask them to call us
first. If it’s not a major fix and we can do it in a reasonable
amount of time, we will take care of it. Otherwise, we can usually
suggest a reasonable priced contractor.
We invite you to drop by anytime, however to ensure
we are available to show you around, you might give us a call first.
We would love to talk to you, answer any questions you may have,
and show you why Woodside Village is the most desirable Senior park
in the Auburn area.
When Joan asked me to come and work part-time here
in the office at Woodside, shortly after we moved in, I jumped at
It has given me a great opportunity to meet my
neighbors and learn which activities my husband and I would like
to participate in, and believe me there are plenty here.
The Homeowner’s membership is only $2.00
a year and voluntary. That is quite a bargain considering what mandatory
condo memberships cost.
We are close to shopping, hospital, and Dr. offices
here, not to mention eating establishments. After living in the
country for forty years and making everything from scratch, it’s
a true joy to be able to go 5 minutes in either direction for an
assortment of restaurants.
My husband and I really enjoy the pool and the fact that we do not
have to do the maintenance ourselves.
Coming here was a good move for us. Downsizing
is a hard thing to do and this was an enjoyable way of doing it.
